I have listened to a lot of music, LIVE music in my day but never have I heard something on the caliber of this CD. Laura’s voice is at its peak, the band is beyond amazing, never have I heard a tighter band than this band and the songs make you get out of your seat and be a part of the music. Laura Branigan fans will be delighted to learn of the first official live album release simply titled, Laura Branigan Live!
The set comes from her tour supporting her eponymous 6th studio album, released in 1990.
The aforementioned album would include her Billboard hit Moonlight On Water, her Top 25 A/C hit, Never In A Million Years (one of our favs!), and her superb cover of Vivki Sue Robinson’s Turn The Beat Around.
Of course, the hits are here as well, Gloria, Self Control, and Solitaire. Laura always handles rock and dance songs with ease. Her sonic power is unmatched in the pop-music world.
Where Laura really shines, is when she sings ballads, as on her Michael Bolton-penned hit, How Am I Supposed To Live Without You, and her stunning cover of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? with piano also played by Laura! The album closes with one of our favorite songs from her album Hold Me, Forever Young.
